I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible services provided by The Human Dog Team. Our dog was struggling with aggressive behavior, resource guarding, difficulty eating, and conflicts with our cats. Cleaning her ears or giving her medicine was nearly impossible. After trying another dog trainer and multiple "online solutions" and techniques, we found Gonzalo. From the very first session, it was evident that Gonzalo has a great understanding of animal behavior and that each dog requires a specific approach. By teaching us how to properly feed, walk, and adjust the rewards, we noticed changes in the very first week. Over time, the issues started to fade away; suddenly, we didn't have a dog that refused treats or needed "toppings" to eat dinner. She is now friends with our cat, the walks are smooth, and the hikes are amazing. After hearing from my breeder that perhaps it would be better to return my now seven months old border collie puppy, I had given up hope. It was disheartening to see that all the techniques I knew and had used with multitude of dogs were not working with my puppy. I spoke about this with Gonzalo (whom at the time was a friend and a dog trainer I admired) and he took on the challenge and offered to help me. The knowledge and insight that Gonzalo had on how a border collie dog works, the study of body language, the precision on how he could predict how my puppy will present next was mind blowing! He understood my puppy. And reassured me that with patience and understanding it could be done. If you are a science/biology/behavior/nature geek, you will definitely enjoy learning with Gonzalo! My puppy was fearful, touchy and I hadn’t found the way to properly communicate with her. I was used to training labs, and goldens and pitties and mixes but this is my first BC and oh boy was I in for a ride. I have been working with Gonzalo for the last several months and we’ve been able to turn my puppy around. She’s a joy, a never ending evolution of all the things I’ve learned and there’s so much more of her that I can now access thanks to Gonzalo and the knowledge he has instilled in me. I would have not been able to either keep my puppy or make progress if it wasn’t for him. Thank you Gonzalo for giving me the confidence, techniques and kindness to make progress with my girl and change the was we train together. I literally owe you my best friend! I would highly recommend Gonzalo for any of your training needs, big or small. You will be impressed! I contacted Gonzalo for help with a specific issue - My dog Paco would get easily distracted and constantly try and eat everything off the ground (poop, dirt, mulch, etc.). We completed 4 training sessions with Gonzalo. I knew Paco's issues wouldn't be solved overnight, but I didn't expect to see as much improvement as I did, so quickly. Paco has become overall so much more focused and attentive. He will completely ignore the plants that he would previously always try to eat on our daily walks. We are able to play fetch for longer periods now without him getting distracted and wandering off to try and eat something. Thank you Gonzalo!

Our lives have been forever changed by Gonzalo's wisdom. He taught us how to rebuild our relationship with our pup. We came to Gonzalo desperate, after struggling for several months with our 2 year old Cavapoo's behavior. Our pup was aggressive on walks, anxious, resource guarded toys/food and overall had a severe lack of obedience. We were ready for a change. And after a few failed attempts with other trainers, we were loosing hope. We started off attending one of Gonzalo's group sessions (without our pup) to get a feel of his training methods. From the beginning we could feel his passion for teaching. He has a great skill to communicate and made sure to explain every step of the way. He took the time to listen and we did not feel rushed to do anything we were not comfortable with. We completed private sessions with Gonzalo. And after a couple months of dedication and hard work, we have seen our pup transform. He can heal on walks. No longer lunges at the biker or jogger that passes by. Eliminated resource guarding. Our pup is happier with the guidance and direction we have learned to provide. This was all made possible with Gonzalo's help and dedication to helping our family. We are continuing to work with Gonzalo at group classes to further strengthen our skills and we look forward to continuing this positive journey. Gonzalo has an extensive knowledge of dog behavior, and he takes time to get to know the humans, so that he can best train the HumanDog Team! Having him come into my home to help me with the issues my dog has only at home has been invaluable. He is a great communicator and is available to help in between sessions.
