It is not an exaggeration when I say that Brandy changed our lives. I called her in tears a couple weeks after bringing home a new puppy. We were at our wits end and were contemplating rehoming him (which I never thought I would ever do). The combination of a tough puppy and our inexperience led to lots of tears, puppy nips, and bruises. From my first phone consult Brandy made a significant difference. She came out and did in home sessions with and trained us as much as Jackson. We also did the Puppy Socialization weekend and he literally came home a different puppy. Brandy was able to quickly hone in on what makes Jackson tick and showed us a variety of training techniques to curb the unwanted behavior and focus on the good. If you are even thinking about booking a board and train for your dog with Brandy, I’ll tell you this…. DO IT! It was truly the best money we ever spent. We got a brand new year old pup who knew absolutely nothing when we brought him home. We really thought it was important to give us and him a good solid foundation of training. We were a little nervous about sending him away for two weeks, but immediately felt so confident about the decision after drop off. Brandy does a house visit before the board and train so that she can get to know your pup. Once your pup is at her house, she has such a detailed training plan in place and documents everything via social media or email (your preference). We absolutely loved being able to watch his training through Instagram because we saw our boy so happy and also learned ourselves some of the techniques. She fully customizes the training to meet your needs and what you want to do with your dog. Our dog came home so knowledgeable of his basic skills and so confident. We were completely at ease while Herman was at training and so happy that he was so loved while he was away as well. Brandy is truly incredible at what she does! Cannot recommend her enough!

A friend recommended Brandy when I was at my wit’s end trying to figure out what to do with our 2 year old pup’s reactive behavior (barked at guests, reactive to only certain dogs which made it hard because we never knew when it was coming). We rescued Harry at 6 months and spent the first year so surprised how “easy” he was. Then at 18 months, his fear/anxiety started coming out in different ways. I went into full gear with watching training videos all night, signing up for every virtual dog training subscription and filling out every quiz online because the algorithm found it too easy to figure out how I was spending my time online :). Even with all this “knowledge,” I still felt like I didn’t know what I was doing. I even left one in-person training class in tears because I felt how both Harry and I were frustrated and felt helpless. We first did an in home consult with Brandy and right from the get go we knew she was the perfect choice. Before she arrived, she texted to let us know what to do once Harry started barking. From when she walked in, her calm and thoughtfully curious nature (she didn’t force her presence on Harry), calmed the room. She was more about learning what our standard day looked like so she could infuse real life techniques that could help us manage Harry’s fears and reactions to the fear. We have also done a training at her facility with her dog so we could learn how to address Harry’s reactivity towards some dogs. Brandy’s approach is more about understanding why dogs do certain things and helping owners learn how to best communicate to our dogs how we can keep them safe. There is so much dog training information out there (and sometimes very conflicting) that we can sometimes get in the mindset that we have to “fix” our dogs. Brandy helped us understand that pet/owner relationships are more about communication and trying to understand one another better. She is professional, genuinely loves dogs and helps put owners’ minds at ease and we highly recommend her!

Brandy is so great! She helps you to be an advocate for your dog and provides very useful, insightful and positive behavioral tips. Our dog Barney has reactive issues with other dogs but has made great strides after a few sessions. We also enjoyed our very first pack walk with her. I highly recommend Brandy and Fluency Dog Training!

I have a very active and anxious Vizsla girl. Her behavior has improved since working with Brandy. She was boarded, for the first time, and she was well taken care of. This morning we saw Brandy at the farmers' market, and Bijoux was very excited to see her. Brandy is an awesome trainer.
