If your dog is not already a Camper, they must first pass a temperament test and stay for at least one full day of daycare.
Once your pup has passed their initial temperament test, they will be required to spend at least one full day (minimum of six hours and a fee of $34) in daycare.
During their day of play we are watching to see how they interact with other campers, if they settle in after a while, whether they have severe separation issues or if they are disruptive to the pack. At the end of their day, we will let you know if we think your pup would be comfortable enough to spend nights at the Camp.
If they pass their “test” day, you can now schedule your pup for their sleepover and leave a one-night deposit. Deposits can be refunded with 48-hour notice of cancellation.
We STRONGLY encourage you to bring your pup for a few days of play before their first boarding stay so they can acclimate to our camp and staff. This always makes the sleepover easier.
Before your pup arrives for their stay, please fill out our Boarding Checklist (which is found in the confirmation email you received after scheduling). This ensures proper and consistent care during their stay.
We require that your pup is dropped off BEFORE NOON the day they sleep over. You can pick them up during normal business hours after their last night.

Cheryl Mullins5 StarWe had wonderful experiences there. Sadly, Mr. Bo Jangles passed away this month. He was 15 years old. We are heart broken. You may recognize the name Bo Sausage as he was known there. You have an excellent place for our fur babies. We live in Az, but if we should get out there again and have another puppy to love we will definitely use you. Wonderful owners and wonderful staff.Monday 15th April 2024
Amber Peabody5 StarWe really loved taking Ziggy to Camp run a mutt. It was his initial form of socialization and it was an overall great experience and resource to have as a dog owner. I personally work and crate during the week so this was a perfect tool to socialize my Frenchie while breaking up the work week for me and crate time for him. The staff are all friendly. The process of signing up and drop off/pick ups is easy and very accommodating for a working fur parent.
We enjoyed checking in on him on the mutt cams
Whenever I would pick Ziggy up he would spend the ride home rolling around in the back seat from excitement with a big Frenchie smile and end up snoring the rest of the ride home 😁
We look forward to bringing him back once we get him neutered.Sunday 18th February 2024
Krystal Stangeland5 StarCamp Run-A-Mutt saved our vacation!! We have a puppy and couldn’t find anyone to dog sit while away so we had to bring him with us. Although our RV resort (Sun Outdoors about 2 miles away) allowed pets, we didn’t want to leave him all day while site seeing. Thankfully Camp Run-A-Mutt came to the rescue!!! Not only that, but our pup Blue had the best time and came home each night all tuckered out from playing. They were closed on Sunday but thankfully we utilized the overnight option so we could go to the Padres game. Anyway, I just want to share my sincere appreciation for this staff. Wonderfully ran facility and the doggy cams were a huge bonus. My only complaint is I don’t live nearby to keep sending him to get all his energy out.Thursday 19th October 2023
JMar Rodrigues5 StarLove this place! They are friendly and take care of our Gunner (Lab puppy)
I wanted to add, We’ve left Gunner for the day and overnight, I love the little report cards they give at the end of the visit! I also love that I can be out of town and be able to check on Gunner via cam. The intake and outtake is smooth and quick. The staff is very friendly and you can definitely tell they enjoy working with dogs! The price is affordable and they support our military! 🫶Wednesday 1st November 2023
Mallory Hicks5 StarThe owners are fantastic. They really know dog behavior, help save animals in their spare time, and are so understanding of situations and specific needs. I've taken my dogs to other camp run-a-mutts but this place has been my favorite. I wish i could keep taking my dogs here but unfortunately i had to move. These people and how they run their business has set the bar and ive yet to find someone or somewhere to match it.
My boy Theo had a tendency to get nippy when excited and they understood how to deal with him and make him feel safe. This as one of the only places i could take him and know he was going to be alright as well as the staff.
20/10 stars if i could.Wednesday 13th March 2024
